Massage Tent at Blues Festival
Over a dozen Oregon LMTs provided massages in a tent at this year’s Waterfront Blue’s Festival in downtown Portland, keeping six massage tables busy much of the time. The Blues Festival massage tent has been a ten-year long project of LMT Katie Aborn-Milojevic.

Massage therapists charge $1 per minute and donate 50% of the proceeds to the Oregon Food Bank. Katie says that this year the donations totaled over $2500. (OSM estimates that the team provided over 5000 minutes of massage.)

LMT Comments
LMT Larry Wolff, who practices in SW Portland, reports that he has been doing this for years and loves the festival atmosphere. LMT Donna Hood says, “It was an honor to be able to work in the massage tent at this year’s Waterfront Blues Festival. This is my fifth year participating and I felt very grateful to be there.”
