Registrar – Portland

Oregon School of Massage has a Registrar position opening at our Portland Campus. The position varies from 32-40 hours a week. Responsibilities include:
Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain all Student records for both Portland and Salem Campuses
  • Prepare, update and distribute course syllabus, rosters, attendance/grade sheets, course handouts, tests, evaluation forms for classes and quarterly graduation packets.
  • Provide back-up to administrative staff, customer service and store sales.
  • Monitor registration systems and processes for greater efficiencies integrating both industry trends and internal needs.
  • Understand and model OSM Mission and values.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Work experience in higher education, registration and record operations
• Database experience (FileMaker Pro required)
• Multi-Line phone experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Mac computer experience
• Very strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing work priorities, and work effectively with frequent interruptions
• Detail Oriented

Compensation: $16-18/hour dependent upon qualifications, plus sick time, vacation time, paid holidays, and profit sharing options

Assistant Bookkeeper – Portland

This position assists the Bookkeeper at a licensed Career School which focuses on training and supporting holistic massage therapists.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Accounts Receivable, including daily deposits, student loan payments, auto-drafts
• Accounts Payable, including invoices, reimbursements, and credit cards
• Balance and Reconciliation, including cash clearing account, VA payments, credit card statements, bank statements, inventory adjustments, roster audits
• Light Collection duties
• Customer service to employees, students, and vendors as needed

• Continually strive for a clearer understanding of how Quick Books Financial and POS interact with each other and how to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:
·       QuickBooks, POS, and MS Office Suite experience
·       Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills
·       Exceptional Time Management Skills
·       Tactful, confidential, flexible team player

FileMaker experience is a plus. Candidates with an interest in holistic health are desirable. Background of applicants will be thoroughly checked prior to employment. They must meet insurability and bonding requirements.
