Front Desk and Clinic Coordinator – OSM Portland

Oregon School of Massage has an opening for a Front Desk and Clinic Coordinator. This position will be 32-38 hours per week. Compensation is $17-$19 per hour plus sick and vacation time, paid holidays and profit-sharing options.
The Front Desk and Clinic Coordinator supports all areas of Administration. Duties include:
  • The person in this position will oversee student clinic scheduling and records.
  • Managing phone system, checking voicemail, and routing incoming calls and faxes
  • Guest registration and check-in
  • Covering OSM Bookstore as needed, including handing retail transactions
  • Ensuring lobby and break areas are clean and well-stocked
  • Other Administrative tasks as determined by staff supervisor
In addition, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Essential qualifications:
Exceptional customer service, time management, organization, and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Experience with MS Office and a willingness to learn new software
  • Comfortability with being a team player in a busy environment with minimal supervision
  • Confidentiality, tact, and flexibility
Preferred qualifications:
  • Understanding and modeling of OSM’s mission and values
  • Ability to explain OSM’s body/mind/spirit-based curriculum and operational philosophy
  • Familiarity with and knowledge of massage and other healing arts

Instructor Positions – Portland & Salem

Oregon School of Massage is seeking massage and bodywork instructors for both campuses. Oregon School of Massage is a professional, vocational school licensed by the State of Oregon and approved by the Oregon Board of Massage Therapists. Ideal candidates will have integrated teaching experience (i.e. teaching that engages the student in both objective and subjective aspects of the subject matter), a clinical background as a massage therapist or other health care provider, and additional training or experience in personal growth.

Reports To: Director of Education / General Manager
Supervises: none
Hours: Depending on course load

General

  • Develop an understanding of, and ability to explain, body/mind/spirit integration ideas which guide OSM curriculum and operational philosophy

Job Duties
Primary Functions

  • Provide training for students in designated subject areas
  • Conduct classroom operations and activities
  • Practice growth centered education model
  • Participate in quarterly debriefing and staff meetings
  • Assist with curriculum review and revisions as needed
  • Provide grades to Registrar in timely manner
  • Ensure proper set up and closure of classroom

Minimum Term of Employment
One quarter With one quarter notice of completion where able

Minimum Qualifications
– Two years teaching or practice experience in area to be taught
– Professional training/experience in adult education setting
– Professional communication
– Demonstrated experience with and commitment to personal, professional and organizational growth
– Ability to lift up to 30lbs
