General Manager – OSM Portland

Reports to: President/Owner
Compensation: $55,000 with incentive options available DOE

We are looking for an Education and Business-Minded professional to lead our management team and move our organization forward. This position will work closely with the school owner and other staff members to leverage assets and maximize potential for growth. Candidates would be sensitive to the vision of the school and focused on the nuts and bolts of operations, able to see the big picture and pull the people and pieces together.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Portland Campus operations, including supervision of school administration and facilities team
  • Communicate with regulatory and accrediting bodies, primarily the Higher Education Coordinating Commission and Oregon Board of Massage Therapists
  • Manage the Business Planning and Development of a career school, including recruiting and retaining students
  • Supervise and support Directors of Admissions, Education, Enrollment Services, and Salem Campus in their work
  • Provide leadership for internal administration, employee management, and financial operations
  • Assist with various HR duties, including hiring for the Portland Campus
  • Participate in networking with Community and Industry
Preferred Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate degree or higher in business, education, administration or organizational development
  • LMT licensure or familiarity with the field of massage and bodywork
  • Experience in educational or small business management
  • Familiarity with integrative health fields
  • Strong communication skills

Director of Admissions – OSM Portland

Hours: 36-40 hours / week, starting at $17-19/hour
This position is responsible for all aspects of Portland and Salem admissions, including recruiting, record keeping, and reporting, along with providing students the support they need to be successful in matriculating. Some support duties regarding intercampus needs in coordination with the Salem Campus. Schedule includes participating in and helping to plan 1-2 events per month, including some evenings and weekends.EXPECTATIONS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Represent OSM at career fairs and other events
• Create marketing materials and strategies for recruitment efforts
• Initiate, maintain, and track communications with prospective applicants
• Organize, schedule, and conduct student interviews and provide campus tours
• Facilitate new student enrollment, including first term class registration
• Regular reporting of admissions efforts and results to management (Dir. Of Education, General Manager)
• Prepare and distribute admissions materials
• Coordinate and present OSM Program Previews to community members
• Coordinate and lead quarterly new student Orientation
• Light office and retail duties as needed to deliver customer service to employees, students, staff
• General activities and duties which support OSM operations.
• Assist Salem students with questions regarding schedules, planning, etc.

Instructor Positions – Portland & Salem

Oregon School of Massage is seeking massage and bodywork instructors for both campuses. Oregon School of Massage is a professional, vocational school licensed by the State of Oregon and approved by the Oregon Board of Massage Therapists. Ideal candidates will have integrated teaching experience (i.e. teaching that engages the student in both objective and subjective aspects of the subject matter), a clinical background as a massage therapist or other health care provider, and additional training or experience in personal growth.

Job Duties
Primary Functions

  • Provide training for students in designated subject areas
  • Conduct classroom operations and activities
  • Practice growth centered education model
  • Participate in quarterly debriefing and staff meetings
  • Assist with curriculum review and revisions as needed
  • Provide grades to Registrar in timely manner
  • Ensure proper set up and closure of classroom

Minimum Qualifications
– Two years teaching or practice experience in area to be taught
– Professional training/experience in adult education setting
– Professional communication
– Demonstrated experience with and commitment to personal, professional and organizational growth
– Ability to lift up to 30lbs
