YOUR INSPIRATIONAL STORY? CREATIVE ART WORK FOR  A NEW HOSPITAL?
Do you have a story about what inspires you to be healthy? Your story could help decorate Oregon’s newest hospital, Kaiser Permanente Westside Medical Center in Hillsboro. Here’s some background information.

Kaiser Looking for Inspirational Stories
Kaiser, on their website [1], says:

“Living healthy is an art. And all great art is inspired by something. What’s been your motivation for getting healthy or staying healthy? We think what has inspired you might inspire others, especially those facing a hospital stay. So we’d like to turn your inspiration into an original work of art at our new Kaiser Permanente Westside Medical Center.”

Submit Essay or Video and Digital Photo

Participants need to submit an essay (300 words or less) or video (three minutes or less) and a digital photo representing the inspiration. The deadline is Friday, December 14. For additional details go to the Kaiser website (link below) and look for “Take Part In Our Art Project.”

The Lund Report

A news piece in the November 12, 2012 issue of The Lund Report [2] tells more of the story.

“…The most inspiring entries will be sent to Oregon painters. Kaiser Permanente is commissioning the artists to transform the winning photos into dozens of art panels that will form a large wall mosaic inside Kaiser Permanente Westside Medical Center….

…Entrants whose essays and photos are selected will be invited to an unveiling of the finished art project in spring 2013 where they’ll get to meet artists who worked on the project.”

Massage Often The Source Of  Inspiration

I can not count the number of times I’ve heard stories about massage being part of healthy choice inspirations. Massage therapists and students…it would be fantastic to see some of your inspirations represented in this art work. Ray Siderius, OSM
