In May OSM’s Maternity Massage program provided training for 12 LMT’s and students from throughout Oregon and Washington. Participants completed one or  more of four segments of the certificate program. Those segments include:

• Pregnancy I

• Pregnancy II

• Massage for the New Mother

• Massage for Labor and Birthing

Instructors, Leslie Stager, RN, LMT and Meredith Bradshaw, LMT, arranged for Portland area pregnant women to receive massages during the training.

Leslie Stager currently lives in Maine; she recently did volunteer work in Uganda. Leslie is the author of Nurturing Massage for Pregnancy:  A Practical Guide to Bodywork for the Perinatal Cycle. She has also produced well-received films. Meredith, a 2003 graduate of OSM, has a thriving pregnancy massage practice in Corvallis, Oregon.

The next segment of the Program will be offered Fall Quarter 2010.

  1. How long does it take to complete all four segments of your Preganancy Massage course? We have massage business who are using our software to manage their business and bookings that we can share this information onto.

    Cheers,
    Mystro

      Hi Mystro,

They can typically be completed in 2 subsequent weekends – we hold the courses every Spring and Fall.

      Thanks!
