555-Hour Washington Massage Certificate Program

The program has been approved and prepares you for licensing by the Washington Department of Health – Board of Massage.   OSM is approved by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork for training certification and as a continuing education provider.

Flexibility

What makes our program unique is that you can fit classes in around your life; work, personal pursuits, children and more. Our program is made up of a variety of individual classes, so the length of time it takes to graduate depends on a variety of factors; scheduling, flexibility, number of courses and so on.

Length

With flexibility in your schedule and a full-time commitment to school, you can complete in as little as 1 year. However, if you have other commitments and would like to take 1 or 2 classes per quarter, it may take you up to 2 years or more to complete the program.

Weekly Schedule

Each quarter is 10 weeks in length; most classes meet once per week for 3 hours per session, with some exceptions. Elective classes are generally scheduled over an entire weekend, a single Saturday or Sunday and occasional weekday classes.

Homework and Practice Massages

You can expect 2 to 3 hours of reading, practice massages, homework and study for every 1 hour you’re in class.
